SPECIAL PRIMERS BASED ON ASPHALT EMULSIONS

Emulsiones Asfálticas por Dispersión de Betún

Asphalt emulsions are materials formed by a dispersion of bitumen droplets throughout a continuous phase of water, which is stabilized by means of an emulsifying agent or emulsifier.

It is usually applied at ambient temperature and they are very fluid, which allows for penetration in the treated surface pores and gaps, covering such a surface with a continuous layer of bitumen. Drying takes place because of the emulsion rupture when water evaporates.
